Claims Advocate

Tooher-Ferraris Insurance Group is a family owned independent insurance agency looking for an exceptional Claims Advocate to be a part of our dynamic team in our Wilton, CT office (Hybrid). The Claims Advocate position will report to our Claims Director and will successfully aid in the management of the claims process for our commercial and personal property & casualty insurance customers.

Responsibilities:

• Make the claim process seamless
• Provide direction, counsel and set client expectations
• Deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality work
• First point of contact to our valued customers who have suffered a loss or experienced a liability claim
• Collaborate with customer service representatives, producers and other members of the agency team on evaluating coverage
• Processing transactions in claim and policy administration systems & inputting claim data for reporting purposes
• Track claims process
• Identify customer exposure to loss and recommend coverage
• Deliver quick effective communication to customers, insurance carriers, independent adjusters, medical providers and all other 3rd parties
• Recommend loss control and risk management programs based on claims experience to our customers

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree and 5 year experience in Commercial / Personal Insurance

Proficient in Microsoft applications

Exceptional communication, collaboration, customer service and relationship building skills required.
